Users now have additional Operating System choices to use with Ubuntu VPS servers. Ubuntu 26.04 (Resolute Raccoon) has just been added to the available OS templates for VPS servers. This template is available for immediate deployment and can be selected from the “OS Reinstall” menu in the Server Panel for existing servers.
What’s new in Ubuntu 26.04?
Ubuntu 26.04 is particularly attractive because of:
- Linux 7.0 KVM/container gains
- stronger AppArmor defaults
- longer hardened lifecycle
- newer Docker/K8s ecosystem compatibility
- improved NVMe/network scheduling
This is probably the best Ubuntu LTS in years for production VPS images.
